You've heard all about the new platform that we're releasing, so you might be wondering how you can get on it. Here are some of the common questions we've heard and some helpful answers:
Q. Is this mandatory? Do we have to use the new product?
A. Yes, we will be transitioning all customers over to our latest product eventually, but in a timeline that makes sense with your use case and ongoing programs. Our Customer Experience team will partner with you to ensure it aligns with your training initiatives.
Q. Is this a different platform or just an upgrade on the existing one? Will we have to move our content or users from one to the next? Will we lose our data?
A. We will partner with you to migrate your content across with our tooling, as well as ensure you have access to any historical data.
Q. Can we access the new content in our current platform?
A. No, the format is specifically designed to be delivered in Grovo Delta.
Q. Can we still use the Grovo videos we do now?
A. Yes, we have reviewed our existing Grovo library and moved over all up-to-date content.
Q. What does the updated platform mean for renewing my contract?
A. Customers who have an active agreement with Grovo will be able to migrate to Grovo Delta within that agreement's term. Please note that our terms of service associated with Grovo Delta have changed, and you can review our updated terms on the Legal Policies section of our website.
Q. How will we transition any integrations we currently have with Grovo? SSO / API?
A. These will be integrations with a new platform so that will require resourcing your IT/ engineering team. We have updated our documentation and information to make this as seamless a process as possible. SSO documentation is currently available in the integrations section of the platform. The documentation for our user management API is available upon request.
Q. At any stage would our end users have access to BOTH Grovo 1 & Grovo Delta?
A. While you are setting up your Grovo ∆ platform, we will keep you're Grovo 1 platform up and running so there is no interruption in your programs for learners. Your participants will not be able to accidentally login since your G∆ platform has a different, unique URL.
Q. We have custom bumpers on Grovo 1, where will those be on Delta?
A. You will receive access to the video file and it will be your choice if you would like to incorporate as an asset in a lesson. Because our new Grovo content (and the content you create!) features the ability for mixed media such as text cards, the bumper will not default to play at the beginning of every lesson.
Q. Our organization is relatively new to Grovo and we have not yet launched on Grovo 1, can we get started?
A. Please confirm your migration wave, but if you have been notified that your migration wave is starting, feel free to jump right in! The migration checklist and timeline are based on the majority of our customers, but we understand that the time to launch will vary.
Q. Will I be able to see my Grovo 1 data in Grovo ∆?
A. Our migration tool will migrate over your training completion and activity data in Grovo Delta.
Q. Can I limit what aspects of the platform people see?
A. Yes, you will have control over access and permissions on Grovo ∆ and can define roles that your users have.
Q. Will I be able to set expiration dates for training certifications done on Grovo?
A. You can store the date that someone was certified as an attribute in Grovo Delta. Currently, this will not connect to any automatic training assignments. However, you will be able to create assignment groups based on this attribute to ensure the right people are getting the right training at the right time.
Q. Will the content migration tool migrate over the quizzes as well?
Q. If you create content using the create tool, are you able to export it from Grovo Delta?
Yes, you can export content as a .zip file and upload it to a platform that's compatible with AICC.
Q. Will there be the functionality for learners to be re-assigned courses without having to clone and then re-assign a training like on Grovo 1?
Yes, you can assign a campaign multiple times. Additionally, we will support multiple attempt functionality.
Q. Do we need to wait until we're ready to launch Grovo Delta to set up SSO with the platform?
No, in fact we recommend you get started on the integration right away. Your users will not be able to access until you're ready to launch.
Q. Does Grovo Delta feature new or revamped content?
Yes! We're very excited about our new approach to microlearning content that incorporates different types of media on cards.
Q. Will I be able to see more data points in the Grovo Delta reporting than I had access to in Grovo 1? For example, will I be able to see all the questions that someone answered either correctly or incorrectly?
Yes, there are many additional data points in Grovo Delta that you can download in a CSV file.
